Mirror Light Not Working? 5 Fixes for LED Mirror Problems

Mirror light not working? Before you call anyone, try these five checks. Ninety percent of LED mirror issues come down to the first three.

1. Check the power source first

This solves more mirror light problems than anything else. For a plug-in mirror, test the socket with a phone charger. If the charger works and the mirror light is still not working, the issue is with the mirror itself. For a hardwired mirror, check the wall switch and the MCB or fuse for that circuit.

2. Touch sensor not responding

Touch sensors need a dry surface and dry fingers. Wipe the sensor area, wait 10 seconds after switching on power, then long-press for 3 seconds. After a power cut, most sensors reset to OFF by default — this is normal, just tap once to turn on.

3. Mirror light flickering or dim

Flickering is almost always a failing LED driver — the small transformer box behind the mirror or at the plug. Drivers cost Rs.250 to Rs.600 and are replaceable on most models without removing the mirror from the wall. Dimness on one side usually means a loose strip connector.

4. Only half the mirror lights up

A section of the LED strip has failed or a connector has come loose internally. Strips are replaceable — but do not attempt to open a sealed bathroom mirror yourself. The moisture seal matters.

5. Demister not warming up

Demister pads take 3 to 5 minutes to warm and only clear fog within the heated zone. If the demister never warms at all, its internal connector has likely detached — a quick service visit fixes it.

When to claim your warranty instead of repairing

All LightMirror.in mirrors carry a 5-year warranty covering drivers, LED strips, and sensors. If your mirror light stopped working within the warranty period, do not open the mirror. Contact us with a short video of the issue and we will arrange repair or replacement parts at no cost.
